Phase five: Feasibility study

The research project ‘CaLioS’ included five phases: four focused on research and one on the development of an educational website. (see overview of the phases).  Here you can learn more about the feasibility study concerning this educational website. This website can be useful so that you can learn more about cancer and the challenges and strategies to overcome it.

How can you participate?

We are pleased to inform you that more than 800 people participate in the baseline survey and more than 500 people participated in the follow-up survey.  

Nursing and medical students

How can you participate?

  1. Fill in the first questionnaire (end of January/beginning February 2025)
  2. Use the website and watch videos
  3. Fill in the second questionnaire (beginning of March)
  4. Attend a focus group discussion on how videos can be used in the university education

We are pleased to inform you that more than 400 students from 3 different universities and 2 different courses have participated in this online intervention. Moreover, we could conduct 6 focus group discussions with 4 to 14 participants each.

People working with cancer patients

How can you participate?

  1. Use the website and watch videos
  2. Fill in the questionnaire one time and share your feedback (February till April)

The research proposal for feasibility study was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Scientific and Ethics Research Commissions of the Mount Kenya University (Nr. 3257) and of the University of Freiburg, Freiburg, Germany (Nr. 24-1475-S2). The research permit was granted by the Kenyan National Commission for Science, Technology & Innovation (NACOSTI/P/24/42242).
